Dark Age of Camelot
Still one of the best MMO games on the market
Dark Age of Camelot, DAoC, is arguably still
one of the best MMO games
out there. At least if your interest in
pvp combat is high. Actually in
DAoC the focus in more on rvr than it is on pvp, and that is why DAoC
is as good as it is.
Rvr is short for
Realm versus Realm. In DAoC there are three realms, three kingdoms,
Albion,
Hibernia and
Midgard.
The three realms are engaged in an eternal conflict over territory and
magical relics, every day of the week, every hour of the day players
from all over the world fight for their realm.
So, while pvp, by definition, is Player versus Player, in DAoC the
focus is more on teamwork where you fight for your king and your people.
